Why should we use LED Tubes ?

From small household use to big businesses, the need to save on energy costs is getting more important. Not only do LED tubes save you money but also the time of having to replace the fluorescent tubes after the 15000hrs rated life. With a rated life of 40,000 hours LED tubes are here to stay. Crompton LED lights have many benefits, one being they don’t contain any harmful toxins such as mercury and are therefore better for the environment. As with all LEDs they produce a lot less heat than other lamps.

LED tubes work in most temperatures, unlike the fluorescents which can on occasion not light up if the temperature is too low. LEDs also have a better resistance to switching cycles than fluorescents which will often cause them to fail if constantly switched on and off. In a more domestic environment, fluorescents will begin to buzz nearer the end of their lifetime; LEDs will not buzz or flicker on starting up.

At Square Deal Electromechanical, the LED showroom in Kochi, Kerala we offer a range of Crompton LED bulbs and tubes with internal diffused coatings that provide 320° light output. Fluorescent tubes lose light output in the back of the fitting but with LED this doesn’t happen. We have both Warm White and Cool White available in 2ft, 3ft, 4ft or 5ft T8 lengths. Using the glass tube rather than the equivalent plastic found with comparable products prevents the tube from bending, warping or discoloring over time.

The benefits of switching to LED tubes speak for themselves

· Save energy
· Long life
· Turn on instantly
· No toxins
· Silent

You may think that it will be a big job to change to LED tubes, but this is not normally the case. LED tubes come with their own starter and are designed to be a retrofit to most existing fittings. We do however advise that this is carried out by a qualified electrician.
